MK Nature Design is inviting all young environmentalists to take part in the Youth Summit for Biodiversity and Environmental Leadership on Sept 23 to 25, 2016 at the YMCA Geneva Park in Orillia, Ontario.  She is not one of the organizers but directs you to talk to the Brereton Field Naturalists Club in Barrie, Ontario or Ontario Nature.

Who is eligible:  high school students (grades 9 – 12).

Travel:  is the responsibility of the youth but there is a bus leaving the GTA to go to Orillia.  Check the link provided above under Frequently Asked Questions.

Accommodations:  will be at the YMCA Geneva Park; linens and towels provided; two people per room with a washroom.  You can request a roommate.

Workshop Registration:  available in August.  At this time you can request a roommate and register for the bus.

Cost:  $175.00 per person.

Supervision:  the event will be supervised by Ontario Nature Staff and adult volunteers.  Ratio of adult to students is approximately 1:8.

Deadline:  Monday September 12, 2016 – only 100 students can participate.  This is the cancellation deadline as well.
